When is the Shrine open?

April through September: 8:30 am - 10:00 pm

October through March:  8:30 am - 8:00 pm

How do I get to the Shrine?

At this point, there are three options for getting to the Shrine: renting a car, hiring a taxi, or joining a tour (summer months only).  Tour companies stay at the Shrine for 30-45 minutes, most taxi drivers offer an hourly rate, and renting a car offers the greatest flexibility.  

It is strongly recommended that you make your transportation arrangements for visiting the Shrine BEFORE you arrive in Juneau, especially if you are visiting during the summer tourist season.

What time is it in Alaska?

Alaska in on Alaska Time (AST) which is one hour earlier than PST, 2 earlier than MST, 3 hours earlier than CST, and 4 hours earlier than EST.  

Where is the Shrine Business Office?

The Shrine Business Office is located in the Diocese of Juneau Chancery Office at  415 6th Street, Ste 300, Juneau, AK 99801.

What are the hours of the Business Office?

The Business Office is open Monday-Friday from 8 am-4 pm (AST). 

Is there room for buses at the Shrine?

Short answer - no. 

Long answer - there are some exceptions to this rule such as pilgrimage groups and other large groups that make arrangements with the Shrine Business Office in advance.
