DISTRIBUTION, SALE AND PURCHASE OF COLUMBARIUM RIGHTS:

Certificates of Interment Rights may be purchased on a first come, first serve basis.  Purchasers may choose to acquire one or more Certificates of Interment Rights; such purchases cannot be for speculation purposes.  If certificates for rights to specific niches are available and where possible, Purchaser may acquire certificates for niches adjacent to one another.

The sale or transfer of any interment rights by any purchaser shall not be binding upon the Shrine of St. Therese  unless the sale or transfer is properly authorized by the Shrine and appropriate entry of such sale or transfer made in the records of the Shrine.  This procedure is required in order that the Shrine may at all times have a complete and accurate record of all purchasers.  Each and every transfer of rights shall have paperwork notorized and be recorded in the records of the Shrine of St. Therese at the Shrine Office, and each and every transfer recording shall be subject to a charge of a minimum of $50 per transfer.

All interment, sandblasting of letters and numbers for granite cover identification,  recording activities and all care and all work on the Columbarium and adjacent environment will be done by the employees, hired and approved personnel,  and/or approved volunteers of the Shrine under the direction of the Director or authorized Shrine representative.  All grading, landscape work and improvements of any kind and all care of the Columbarium shall be done, and all trees, shrubs and herbage of any kind shall be planted, trimmed, cut or removed, and all openings and closings of Columbarium niches, and all interments, disinterments and removals shall be made by the Shrine Director or his/her designated appointee.  The Shrine Director or authorized Shrine personnel reserve the right to remove any memorial or structure placed on the grounds by unauthorized persons.

NICHE UNITS AND GRANITE FRONT IDENTIFICATION:

No niche granite lettering -names/dates- will be installed on a niche until Purchaser has made full payment for interment rights.  Memorialization of niche covers is required and will consist of sandblasted lettering and numbers data that meet the established requirements.

Niche units consist of “singles” (for the cremated ashes of one (1) person in one urn in one niche), and “doubles” (for the ashes of a maximum of two (2) persons in two (2) urns, husband and wife or family members only, in one niche).  Urns will need to fit the size of the niches; the Shrine will assume no responsible for individuals purchasing urns that will not fit the size of these Columbarium niches.

Only one (1) niche name, with birth/death dates, shall be allowed per interment single niche site and (2) names allowed for interment of doubles.  All niche front name and date information will be sandblasted and shall be installed in accordance with rules as specified by the Shrine and in conformance with established specifications as to size, type and location of installation so as to maintain the already established standards of the Columbarium.

Any additional inscription desired beyond the name and dates lettering or any Christian symbol on the niche front must be approved by the Shrine Director or appropriate Shrine personnel.  Persons desiring an emblem on the niche front may select one that is reflective of Christian symbolism, such as an emblem of a cross, praying hands, angle, dove, or other appropriate Christian images provided there is adequate room.  Arrangements for, and approval by the Director or appointed designee, will need to be transacted before an order is placed for the niche front.  Additional charges will be made for inscriptions or emblems beyond the established standard lettering. Such fees vary in cost depending on the requested extra lettering or symbol to be added.

Unless waived, a charge may be assessed for opening and closing the interment space and applicable Columbarium document recording.  Unless waived, there may be an additional charge if the service is provided weekends, holidays, and/or after normal work hours.
