New Shrine Pieta Statue
It was a beautiful day for the dedication of Michaelangelo's Pieta Statue
On August 7, 2011, following the 1:30 pm Mass, the new Pieta statue at the end of the Good Shepherd Rosary Trail, in the Grotto was dedicated by Bishop Edward Burns. Bishop Burns was assisted by Deacon Charles Rohrbacher and Altar Server, Nico Glocke. The Pieta was purchased and placed in the Grotto by Tim Dimond. The beautiful garden work around the statue was done by Ed and Janis Buyarski. There were about 50-75 people who attended the dedication.
